Snowmobiler Also Facing Drunk Driving Accusations
Some double trouble for a man in Tay Township. Around 4:00 Saturday afternoon, Southern Georgian Bay OPP got the call that a snowmobiler went through the waters of Georgian Bay off the coast of Waubaushene. The guy was able to get back to shore with the help of a nearby boater, after which he was taken to local hospital for treatment. Investigators say not only was the 30-year-old snowmobiler drunk when he went through the ice, the snowmobile he was riding was stolen. He has a court date just before Easter.
