The snow-squall warning has ended for the Simcoe County area but we are not getting off easy. The forecast is calling for more of the white stuff, up to 10 cm before tomorrow morning. That coupled with strong winds could produce blowing and drifting snow, making visibility difficult at times. The good news that stems from the April snow is that it has helped stem the flow of flood waters in the Muskoka area. Highway 141 is open to traffic in both directions as is Muskoka road 6, otherwise known as Coopers Falls Road. Highway 118 and and hwy 3 remain closed at this times due to poor weather conditions.
A state of emergency remains over the community of Chatsworth, which is just south of Owen Sound. About 100 people have been effected by the voluntary evacuation, that was brought on by the flooding.
