Smoking Could Cost Mustang Passenger

Police Charge Man for Smoking In Car With Child Passenger

An Angus man was dinged for speeding in Oro Medonte, but its his passenger that caught the officer’s eye. Just after 4:00 Saturday, police gave a speeding ticket to the driver of a red Mustang, after allegedly going about 50 clicks over the limit. Police add the passenger, a 55-year-old New Tecumseth man, was smoking a cigarette at the time of the traffic stop, with a youngster in the back seat. That goes against a 2009 law that forbids people from smoking in a car containing kids. That butt could cost the guy about $125 in fines if convicted.
