Simcoe County Offers New Program To Support Art, Culture

Wants County to be top cultural destination

A new program in Simcoe County will support the arts, culture and heritage in the region. It’s a grant program Warden Gerry Marshall hopes will foster growth and establish the county as one of Ontario’s top cultural destinations, “We have vibrant arts, culture and heritage sectors that play a significant role in the economic well-being of our communities. Our residents have a tremendously creative and entrepreneurial spirit.” Applications for grant money will be accepted in three areas – capacity building, projects and sustainability.  Interested applicants are asked to submit their expression of interest by January 8, 2016.
