R.I.P. David Bowie

The Iconic David Bowie has passed away at 69 years old after an 18th month battle with cancer. The news was released via his official facebook page in a statement that said:

“January 10 2016 – David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.”

He had just released his latest album, Blackstar, on Friday January 8th, which was also his birthday.

Fans are laying flowers by a mural of Bowie in Brixton, south London today and there is also a street party planned for this evening in his honour.
