Public School Board Plans For The Worst During Exam Time

What To Do If Snow Prevents You From Writing An Exam

The Simcoe County District School Board is getting ready for exams, and bad weather. With secondary school examinations coming up January 28th to February 3rd, the school board has come up with the following steps, should adverse weather cancel classes:

  • If buses are cancelled on an evaluation day, the schedule will shift forward one day.
  • If buses are cancelled twice, Feb. 4 will become an evaluation day. Day 4 evaluations will be held in the morning and Day 5 evaluations in the afternoon.
  • If buses are cancelled three times, Feb. 5 will become an evaluation day and the PA Day will be rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 8.
  • Only schools in the Bus Zone(s) with cancellations will have evaluation schedule changes. Schools in zones without cancellations will run evaluations as planned.
  • For schools with a five-period day, schedules will be adjusted on a case-by-case basis in situations where students have more than one evaluation in a day.
