Wynne Apologizes Following Truth and Reconciliation Report

An apology from Queen’s Park this morning, in reaction to a recent report. Premier Kathleen Wynne apologized today on behalf of the Ontario Government for brutalities suffered by generations of Indigenous Peoples at residential schools in the province. This follows the release of the Truth and Reconciliation Report released a year ago, that highlighted the true scope of the damage caused by past practices. Along with the apology, the province handed down an action plan, said to help move towards reconciliation.
