Police Issue Update Into Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Bust
117 Charges Laid Following Series of Raids in Early May
An update today to a coordinated effort last month. We told you back in early May about how Barrie Police, South Simcoe and OPP joined forces to execute a series of search warrants in Barrie, Bradford and Oro Medonte on May 12th, and police say now the dust has cleared, they’ve laid a total of 112 Drug-related charges against 17 people in Simcoe County. Five licensed establishments have been charged under the Liquor Act. Investigators claim they seized over $107,000 in cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, oxycodone, hash, and meth over the course of this six month investigation.
