Photo Radar In Barrie School Zones? Maybe.

The City of Barrie is trying to get ahead of a provincial decision, and look into whether to implement photo radar in school zones. Last week, Ontario Premier Wynne announced her party would be introducing legislation that would, if passed, give municipalities the power to conduct photo radar within school zones. At City Hall Monday night, council gave the nod to have city staff look into it. Folks from the Roads and Legislative departments will put their heads together and are expected to report back to council with all the requirements and implications of such a program.
