Pedestrian Hit In Alliston – Driver Takes Off

Police Looking For Mini Van With Front End Damage

A pedestrian has been been struck by a vehicle in Alliston. Police say a 72 year old woman was crossing at the intersection of Church and Burt Street Wednesday morning when a mini van pulled into the intersection and hit her. OPP say the driver of the van got out to ask if the woman was injured. To which she replied yes and asked if an ambulance could be called. At this point, the driver returned to his vehicle and fled the scene. The woman meanwhile, WAS taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

  • In his late 30’s to early 40’s
  • With facial hair
  • He was driving a light coloured mini van, which may now have front end damage.
