Pedestrian Fatalities At Eight Year High, Says OPP

Statistics Show A 66% Increase Since Last Year Alone

Some stark numbers from the OPP will hopefully give you pause next time you cross the street. The Ontario Provincial Police say the number of pedestrian fatalities have increased by 66% since last year, marking an eight year high. Of those, only seven per cent occurred at night time; a large portion of those happened in daylight. The OPP also say statistics show the ages of those killed varies widely too, from children under four, through teens, adults, and seniors too.
