Paramedic Charged Following Innisfil Collision

Innisfil Beach Road Closed for 90 Minutes Following Crash

A paramedic has been charged after a crash in Innisfil. South Simcoe Police say around 11:00 yesterday morning, a westbound ambulance collided with a northbound car at the intersection of Innisfil Beach Road and 5th Sideroad. Both vehicles were pushed into hydro poles near the intersection too, while the car driver and passenger were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The ambulance was not carrying any patients at the time, but the driver has been charged with Failing to Stop for a Red Light. The roadway was closed for about 90 minutes.
