OSPCA, South Simcoe Police Hammer Home ‘No Hot Pets’ Message

At Tanger Outlet Mall this afternoon

The OSPCA has had 700 calls this summer about pets being left in hot vehicles, so it will be back at Tanger Outlet Mall with South Simcoe Police this afternoon, raising awareness of the dangers of doing it. “The calls keep coming in, so clearly some pet owners are not getting the message about the dangers of leaving pets unattended in vehicles,” says Inspector says Inspector Brad Dewar, Investigations and Communications Officer, Ontario SPCA. “We will continue to keep hitting home the message about No Hot Pets until this becomes common sense.” During a similar blitz at the mall in July, officers were called to reports of a dog left in a car in Barrie.
