Oscar Pistorius To Be Sentenced For Murder
Appeal dismissed
Appeal denied to former South African paralympian Oscar Pistorius, who was found guilty in the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013. Pistorius had argued another court erred when it overturned his original manslaughter conviction and declared him guilty of murder. He’ll be sentenced next month. The minimum sentence for murder in South Africa is 15 years, but can be reduced if a judge determines there are exceptional circumstances.
