Oro Medonte’s Tax Rate is Going Up
$33.9m budget means for an average annual property tax increase of 75 bucks
Oro Medonte’s council has given the nod to this year’s municipal budget. With a 2.99 per cent increase, residents will have to pony up an additional $75 a year on a home valued at $300,000. The $33.9 million budget not only sets aside coin for the typical road and infrastructure improvements, but also money for a new fire hall, fire truck and replacement rescue equipment. Oro Medonte also approved money towards a review of government procedures to see if there’s any way to save more money in the future.
