Orillia Secondary School Lockdown Lifted After Less Than Half An Hour

Lockdown Put In Place Over Concerns Of Student With A Weapon

A lockdown at an Orillia school didn’t last long this morning. Orillia OPP were called out to Orillia Secondary School around quarter to 9 this morning, and the lockdown was lifted less than half an hour later. Police say there were concerns a student had a weapon of some kind, so the principal initiated the lockdown. They say the student left the school, came back, and is now speaking with police. The school day has returned to normal for the rest of the students there.
