Ontario Fire Crews Set To Help Fort McMurray

Firefighters, Incident Management Team Requested

Ontarians may be among those sent to fight the fires in Fort McMurray. They’re still putting a plan of attack together, but up to 60 personnel have been requested to Alberta from Ontario. Our province is also said to be providing an Incident Management Team, while British Columbia is helping to provide pumps and hoses to fight a fire that forced tens of thousands of people out of their homes. A steady stream of evacuees continue along one of the area’s major thoroughfares, Highway 55, while fuel tankers have been brought in to fill up vehicles that have since become stuck on the highway.
