Ontario Early Years Centre – Barrie

A Place For Children And Parents To Grow

ZanderIt is a haven for some, a gathering place for others. The Ontario Early Years Centre in Barrie recently moved from Ross Street downtown to a new facility at 129 Ferris Lane – a larger space with free parking and nearby public transit for the parents, children and caregivers who drop in every year – 15-thousand visits last year. The centre offers free programs for children (up to 6 years of age) and parents – separately and together, as well as access to parenting information, education and resources. Simcoe Community Services Manager Michele Kapteyn sat down recently with Rock 95’s Dan Blakeley to talk about what the centre has to offer and it’s Grand Opening celebration Saturday February 27.
