NIRVANA WANTS YOU TO KNOW KURT COBAIN IS STILL DEAD

he official Nirvana Facebook page has responded to a conspiracy theory that frontman Kurt Cobain is still alive and well, and..living in Peru?

Fans worldwide were saddened on April 1994, when it was announced that Nirvana’s frontman, Kurt Cobain, had passed away. And while the cause of death was officially ruled as suicide, due to suspicious circumstances and the fact that Cobain was in the height of his career, conspiracy theorists believe otherwise. One theory in particular sparked an interest in many fans, and even resulted in the band making a statement.

The theory goes, after faking his own death, Kurt Cobain fled Peru and has been playing guitar (right-handed) under the alias Ramiro Saavedra, for the past 20 years. After the Daily Mailpublished an article based on the crazy fan theories, Nirvana’s official Facebook page shut down the insane rumours, confirming what most of us have already accepted: Cobain is still dead.

Nirvana’s response, coated with sarcasm, read: “It is true, Kurt is alive. He needed time to learn to play the guitar with his right hand. Finding left-handed guitars is not easy. We are so happy to have him back and forgive him for all of the sadness that we have held so deeply in our hearts.”
