Newborns At RVH Will ‘Chime In’ To The World

Lullaby Will Announce Arrivals

Next time you’re at RVH and you hear a lullaby chime you’ll know something special has happened. At the suggestion of nurse Laura Dix the hospital will acknowledge every birth by playing the chime on its paging system.  “We always say miracles happen every day at RVH and this is a way to celebrate our tiniest miracles,” says Janice Skot, president and CEO. “Our health centre is a busy, bustling place, and we are often treating very ill patients. This lullaby chime provides us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the many good things that happen here too.” Two-thousand babies a year are born at RVH.
