New Device Doesn’t Read Your Mind, But It Is Close

MIT's Alterego Reads Signals From the Brain to the Jaw

It looks a little silly, but you have to admit it is pretty slick… a new device out of MIT called the Alterego, allowing you to “think” commands to a computer. The device fits around the ear with a sensor stuck to the jaw that reads signals your brain sends to your jaw to speak, allowing you to command your device without making a sound or even opening your mouth through a form of “silent speech”.
