Motley Crue’s ‘The Dirt’ Might Become A Netflix Movie
The Streaming Service Is Negotiation To Turn The 2001 Memoir In To A Movie
It looks like Motley Crue’s autobiographical book The Dirt could be adapted by Netflix. The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band chronicles the drug induced world of the members of the 1980s rock band. The book was written by band members Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, Vince Neil, and Mick Mars, as well as New York Times and Rolling Stone writer Neil Strauss.
Netflix has been reportedly digging into the idea of turning the New York Times bestseller into a film. The script is being created by Tom Kapinos (Californication) and Rich Wilkes (XXX), and will see Motley Crue’s members taking up the role of co-producers.
Though the film hasn’t been confirmed, the deal is in the works and the possibility of one happening is looking pretty hopeful. Though Netflix hasn’t pumped out much of their own biopic content, the streaming service seems to know what its doing when it comes to Netflix original films and television series, so we assume quality won’t be an issue if the network does succeed in finalizing a deal for The Dirt.
