Police Say Don't Let Them Intimidate You
Another Fraud Scam to warn you about. Police are warning the public about fraudsters impersonating a Canada Revenue Agency Employee.
OPP say someone is calling and emailing both private citizens and businesses and demanding that outstanding taxes be paid by a money service business or by a pre-paid debit or credit card. OPP say do not give them money. Contact the CRA to confirm you do in fact owe back taxes. And if you believe you have been a victim of fraud, contact your local police service or Crime Stoppers.
