Midland Man Charged With Threatening Police

Threats To Officer and Headquarters Allegedly Made Using 911 Service

A Midland man is up on charges after police say he used the emergency line to make some serious threats. The Midland Police Service says someone called their 911 communications centre several times on Monday, allegedly to threaten to shoot at the police service’s headquarters. Police say the guy called again to make specific threats against a member of the Midland Police Service. Investigators got to work tracking down the caller, and say they’ve taken a man into custody. A 35-year-old Midland man was yesterday arrested and charged with Uttering Threats of Death, Bodily Harm, and Damaging Property, as well as Indecent Communication.  He was due in Barrie bail court first thing this morning.
