Mick Jagger Recovering After Heart Surgery

He is expected to make a full recovery

Rolling Stones’ front man Mick Jagger reportedly had heart valve replacement surgery this week in New York.

He is being monitored by nurses after the procedure, which was done via catheter (making it less invasive than opening the chest). Recovery time for a procedure like this is roughly two weeks, but because the Stones put on quite an energetic show, he will need more than the recommended recovery time.

Last week the band announced they’d be postponing the North American leg of their ‘No Filter’ tour so that Mick Jagger could get the surgery.

Anyone with tickets to the Burls Creek show is advised to hold onto them as they will be good for the rescheduled dates. It’s expected that the Stones will be resuming their tour sometime this summer.
