Local Communities Getting New Bike Paths Thanks To Province

Ontario Municipal Cycling Infrastructure Program Benefiting Orillia, Midland, Collingwood

Some local communities are getting provincial dollars for new cycling infrastructure. Ontario is providing $475,000 to Orillia, Midland, and Collingwood over the next two years, thanks to the Ontario Municipal Cycling Infrastructure Program. Orillia will use $325,000 of that to build a 1km off-road pathway crossing Highway 11 and avoid other high volume areas. Midland gets a $90,000 bike loop around the downtown area, while Collingwood will use $60,000 to build a cycling and walking path around Millennium Park.
