Level One Entrance Reopens At RVH After Renovations

More parking options, too

The former staff entrance at level one at RVH has reopened after a new revolving door was installed (now called the Simcoe Entrance). This will be helpful to patients who regularly visit the treatment clinics on level one. “There are quite a few outpatient clinics on Level 1 at RVH including dialysis, cardio-respiratory, rehabilitation, and the Children’s Treatment Clinic, so it just makes sense that those patients should be able to enter and exit the building at Level 1 as well as park close by,” says Nancy Savage, executive vice president, Patient and Family experience. “We have made this change as a direct result of patient and visitor feedback and it is another example of our commitment to not just meeting, but exceeding patient and families expectations.” In addition, patients and visitors are now able to park in the lower level (former Volunteer) parking lot. This parking lot has six designated spaces for Dialysis patient and ample barrier-free parking. The new doors will provide energy savings by keeping out the cold winds in the winter ,as well as reducing the amount of air conditioning required in the summer months.
