UPDATE: Man Charged After Laptop Swiped From Barrie Grocery Store

Thursday – Barrie Police say the suspect in this theft has turned himself in to face charges.

Wednesday – A suspected laptop bandit was caught on camera. Barrie Police say around 9:00 this morning, a sales representative working out of the Joe’s No Frills on Wellington St. had his laptop stolen. They say he placed his laptop on a skid of products, walked over to another aisle, and when he returned, it was gone. Officers say store surveillance caught the whole thing, and they’re now looking for a suspect that matches the following description:
  • Male, Oriental
  • Thin build
  • Wearing a red/orange baseball cap, glasses, dark long sleeve shirt and light blue jeans.
