Innisfil Residents Told To Prepare For Another Night Without Power

Additional damage done today

The Town of Innisfil is advising its residents to prepare for electricity to be out all night Friday and into Saturday morning. There’s been new damage to Innisfil’s electricity infrastructure, including the transmission lines that feed electricity into Innisfil, knocking out the power for more residents while hampering restoration efforts. InnPower continues to work to restoration for all, but it could be tomorrow before they meet that goal. Residents who need shelter or to recharge electronic devices are welcome to visit the Town’s two warming centres that will remain open until 11pm, unless power is restored sooner. The warming centres are located at:

  • Innisfil Public Library Lakeshore Branch – 967 Innisfil Beach Road
  • Fire Station 4 – 23 King Street North

“Please be advised that InnPower is aware of all major power outages. If residents would like to report an outage they can e-mail InnPower at customerservice@innpower.ca or call at 705-431-4321. Due to a high number of calls the line will be busy at times but residents will eventually get through. InnPower crews, Innisfil Fire & Rescue Services, South Simcoe Police and Town Roads crews have worked around the clock to restore power and keep roads clear and will continue to do so. Town Staff and their partners thank Innisfil residents for their patience during this time.”
