Domestic Assault Charges Laid After A Number of Calls To Police
Police say a domestic abuse victim is somewhere safe, while a suspect is facing a slew of charges. South Simcoe Police claim they were called to an Innisfil home a number of times yesterday, with reports of a domestic assault. The woman there initially didn’t cooperate with officers, but eventually told investigators she’d been assaulted numerous times over three days. A 25-year-old Innisfil man has been ordered to stay away from her while he waits for his April court date to answer to three counts of Assault and two of Assault with a Weapon.
