Hold Up Suspects Caught Following String of Thefts
Trio Accused of Robbing Gas Stations, Liquor Store
Three men are up on charges following a few gas station thefts in York Region. Police say two men went into a gas station at Bayview and Mulock in Newmarket on January 18th, and made off with some cash and cigarettes. The same thing happened at a gas station in Markham on the 23rd. On the 25th, another gas station was held up in Newmarket, followed by a liquor store. Employees of the LCBO were able to get a licence plate number, passing it to York Regional Police. They say the suspect vehicle was stopped last Wednesday morning, where three suspects were taken into custody. They face a handful of Theft-related charges.
