Study Upends Notion That Antidepressants May Hurt Your Heart

A new study says your heart health won’t be affected by any antidepressants you might be taking. The University of Nottingham put a common type of antidepressant known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors thought the paces and found the drug is not associated with increased cardiovascular health. That’s good news because as it’s established that depression takes its toll on your heart as it is, it’s long been believed antidepressants may worsen that condition. Turns out, that’s not the case.
