Hazardous Materials Dumped in County Forest

Twelve 45-gallon Drums Discovered Near Anten Mills

The County of Simcoe is talking trash after finding some hazardous waste in the forest. They say a dozen 45-gallon drums filled with what appears to be oil and petroleum were discovered in the Hendrie Tract near Anten Mills. County Forester Graham Davis says it could cost at least four grand to clean this thing up, depending on what it turns out the material is. They’re working on cleaning it all up now, adding more than 30 tons of garbage is collected from County forests per year.
