Gravenhurst Garage Fire Caused Around $75k in Damage
Firefighter Sent to Hospital After Pushing It Too Much
A fire in Gravenhurst was contained to a home’s garage, but it meant one firefighter had to go to hospital. Around 3:30 yesterday afternoon, fire crews responded to reports of a structure fire on Canning Road, and arrived to find the garage aflame. They made short work of it, but stayed on scene until around 9:00 last night, to make sure some of the more flammable materials in the garage didn’t ignite. One firefighter had to go to hospital as a result of exertion, and officials peg the damage at $75,000.
