Give The People What They Want: A Nirvana Reunion With Chad Kroeger On Vocals

I Wanna Be A Rock Star

A Facebook group is campaigning to bring the beloved 90s grunge band Nirvana back together with a HUGE caveat: Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger on vocal duties.

“The Campaign starts here,” writes the Facebook group. So far, 850 are confirmed in attendance to the event, with 2.5 thousand people interested in the event. An image in the group shows surviving Nirvana members Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear with Koeger smiling gleefully in front.

The event organizer posted in the group “‘Nickelvana’ Tour announcement imminent. Support comes from Puddle Of Mudd, Bush and Silverchair.”

Unlucky (or luckily) for us, the event is set to take place in Manchester, England, at the aptly named Nirvana Hair and Beauty Bar.

There doesn’t seem to be any real validity to this event — no matter as meme-worthy it is, but considering this is a world where social media campaigning convinced Weezer to record and release a cover of “Africa”, truly anything is possible.

For this reason, I leave you with the immortal words of Jeff Goldblum:

“Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.”
