Police Say Suspects Ran A Red Light After Pilfering From Local Restaurant

Two South Simcoe men have been charged after a B&E in Newmarket. A York Regional Police officer spied a vehicle running a red light at Mulock and Yonge around 2:00 yesterday morning, claiming it didn’t stop when they tried to pull it over. Other officers in the area already investigating a restaurant break and enter say the vehicle description matched the one seen leaving their scene. Police found the vehicle abandoned around Yonge and Davis, allegedly with a few stolen cash registers inside. The two suspects were found nearby, while police say they were under the influence too. A 25-year-old Bradford man, and a 44-year-old guy from Innisfil both facing a slew of charges.
