Get On the GO…In Innisfil

The 6th Line of Innisfil has been earmarked for a new GO train station. Metrolinx staff have been looking over the possibilities and will make the recommendation to the Metrolinx board of directors, whcih will make a final decision on several stations next Wednesday. The Town of Innisfil says it will help bridge the gap between Barrie South and Bradford stations as the South Simcoe community continues to grow. “We are extremely excited to find out that Metrolinx staff have recommended adding Innisfil to the GO Transit rail network,” said Innisfil Mayor Gord Wauchope. “We hope the Board will also see the significant value that would be made by this addition to the regional transportation corridor.”
