EF1 Twister Damaged Farm, Caused No Injuries

The rain we saw in Barrie last night, could have been worse! Environment Canada is confirming the first tornado of the season. An EF1 tornado, about 200m wide with estimated 170km/h windspeeds, tore a 3km strip out of farmland near a community called Clifford, northwest of Mt. Forest in Wellington County. See the map below if you’re not familiar with the area. Authorities say it caused severe damage to a barn and three nearby grain storage bins, they were blown a few hundred meters away! Luckily, no injuries were reported.
