Federal Task Force Has Some Thoughts on Selling Recreational Pot

Canada’s pot task force is out with some new recommendations ahead of the legalization of the sticky icky. The federally appointed task force is recommending recreational marijuana be sold in separate store fronts instead of where you can buy booze and smokes, and should be limited to those 18 years of age or older. This goes against a Canadian Medical Association recommended age of 21, but the task force does suggest provinces and territories be granted ability to set certain age restrictions too. A personal possession limit of 30 grams is being recommended. The task force also suggests the tax revenue generated by the sale of pot go back to public education campaigns and researching health risks.
