DESCRIPTION:Rogan Mei is hosting a release party @ The Attic\, on the upper level of Flying Monkeys in Barrie ON to celebrate his new single "Lefroy". The release\, on July 18th\, is in in anticipation for his fall EP Release entitled Dickie Green Plaid Jacket. \nRogan Mei is an Indie Folk artist and producer with roots in Barrie\, Ontario\, and a soul steeped in the wilds of Northern Canada. Influenced by the sun-soaked grooves of Jack Johnson and the introspective guitar work of John Mayer\, Mei creates music that feels as light as air\, yet carries the weight of lived experience. Before embracing his musical journey\, he spent seven years as a Wildland Firefighter and Smokejumper\, parachuting out of planes and into some of the most remote corners of British Columbia. His music\, much like his life\, is a blend of grit and grace\, with every note reflecting the rugged landscapes of love and angst. After fine-tuning his production skills at Seneca College in Toronto\, Mei launched his solo project\, entertaining audiences with his raw\, heartfelt performances.
