Emergency Text Service Now In Barrie
Service Available For Deaf, Hard Of Hearing and Speech Impaired.
As of today, individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired will be able to access texting 9-1-1 services in the Barrie area. Text with 9-1-1 is only available to individuals who have registered their cell phones for the service through their carrier. Voice calling remains the only way to access 9-1-1 services by a person who is not hard of hearing of speech impaired.
