Dump Truck Driver Blamed For Downed Wires In Bradford

Bradford Roadway Closed For Entire Evening Following Downed Wires

A dump truck driver might face charges after some wires were knocked down near a Bradford job site. South Simcoe Police say the truck was leaving a construction site on the 6th Line near 10th Sideroad around 4:30 yesterday afternoon, when it struck some overhead wires. Police say the box of the truck, which was in the ‘up’ position, pulled the wires down onto the roadway, knocking out power to the area and blocking the street. The roadway reopened shortly after 1:30 this morning, with no injuries reported.
