Drunk Driving Charge Laid After Visit To Two Different Poles in Barrie

Man Allegedly Ejected From Strip Club Facing DUI Charge

A Phelpston man started his night with a brass pole, but ended it with a hydro pole. Barrie Police say a 28-year-old man and his brother were thrown out of an adult entertainment along Dunlop St. in Barrie, over a disagreement with staff. Police say the guy didn’t take kindly to having his night cut short, so he hopped in his car and drove off so erratically, they say other vehicles had to dodge him. Officers say he struck a hydro pole at Anne and Edgehill not long after. He was arrested on scene while his brother was taken to RVH for treatment of minor injuries.
