Drunk Driving Charge Laid After Three Crashes Reported

Driver Was Under Two Previous Driving Suspensions

Three Strikes and you’re out. That what Barrie Police might have been thinking after an arrest around suppertime last night. Police were called last night by a motorist claiming they’d just been struck by another car on Mapleview at the 400, while the other car took off without stopping. Just after that, police say the suspect vehicle struck another car on Dunlop St. at Hart, fleeing the scene again, despite a flat tire. Officers say it didn’t take long for the vehicle to hit something else, luckily it was a snow bank this time. Police arrived on scene, and quickly arrested the driver. Officers say he registered at over triple the legal limit, and was already under two current driving suspensions.
