Drug Charges Laid During Bradford RIDE Check

Police Say Driver Almost Didn't Stop At Spot Check

Drug dealing charges have been laid after a RIDE stop in Bradford. South Simcoe Police were on Disette St. just after midnight this morning, when a vehicle approached, slowed, then allegedly sped up, apparently unwilling to stop. Officers yelled, the vehicle pulled over, and police say they could smell pot coming from the car. A check of the police computer showed the guy was due in court for a Drug Dealing charge, under court order not to touch the stuff. Police say when they took him into custody, they found a variety of marijuana and crack cocaine packets, ready for sale. The 22-year-old Toronto man is due in court in June.
