Woman and child taken to hospital

Barrie Police are sorting out a domestic dispute last night that ended in a collision at Henry and Eccles Streets. They started getting calls about this – about a minivan southbound on Anne Street – around 5:30pm. When police tried to stop the vehicle it crashed into a utility pole. A 40 year old man inside fled the scene but was caught nearby. A 29 year old woman and her one year old daughter were taken to hospital as a precaution. The accused, initially charged with Domestic Assault, has also charged with Forcible Confinement, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Flight From Police and Breach of Probation.
