David Bowie’s Ashes Scattered at Burning Man

with iman's permission

Burning Man happens every year in the Nevada Desert. Thousands of people gather in the Black Rock Desert to create the temporary metropolis, Black Rock City, which is dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance.

David Bowie’s ashes were reportedly scattered at the festival this year, which happened over the Labour Day weekend. Apparently his godchild was given permission by his widow, Iman. Bowie was also honoured with a small ceremony at the Temple, where attendees can pay tribute to their loved ones. It’s burned down at the end of every festival.

A spokesperson from the Bowie camp has denied the reports. The information initially came from Mark Milhaly, who runs the blog burn.Life.
