Collision Leads To Charges
Police Say Driver Of Scooter Impaired
A collision, Saturday afternoon, at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Simcoe Street has lead to charges. Barrie Police say a three wheeled scooter and an SUV hit just after 4:30. The investigation reveled that the driver of the scooter had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system. The 37 year old man was arrested and his scooter impounded for 7 days. There were no injuries as a result of the collision.
