Cider To Be Sold At Grocery Stores Already Selling Beer

60 Retailers To Carry The Stuff Soon, Another 70 By The Fall

An announcement from the province could affect your grocery shopping list. Premier Kathleen Wynne said at a Sobey’s in Waterloo this morning, cider will be sold at the 60 grocery stores across the land that are already selling beer. She also said the province is taking applications from interested retailers, to allow 70 additional grocery stores to sell wine, beer, and cider starting in the fall. Up to 300 independent and chain grocery stores are expected to be selling booze by the time the province is done.
