Two more sleeps till Christmas – how the kids holding up? How about your dog? Charlene Boucher at The Hound Lounge in Barrie says some dogs are fine with the hustle and bustle of the season. Others, not so much, “They don’t understand why there’s this excitement…if it’s something they should be worried about. So one of the best things to do is to have a quiet place that they’re allowed to go to. it might be a bedroom, it might be their crate – somewhere that guests and children know is off-bounds; when the dog goes in there, that’s their quiet time.” Boucher recommends you keep an extra close on on them when thy’re loose, with the extra human snacks and treats that will be out in the open. Some, like chocolate, can make them very ill. Listen below for more tips for getting your pooch through the holiday season.
